MMJC At Western University Collaborates with EUNY BESPOKE MEDIA
Hello #EUNYBM readers!! This is my first blog post, and I am super excited about writing it. Today’s blog post encapsulates a content marketing/storytelling project collaboration with Western University’s Master of Media degree in Journalism and Communication (MMJC) and my business (EUNY BESPOKE MEDIA). Before I begin, let me give you a background story.
I launched my business in December 2023, and about five weeks later (i.e. in January 2024), I received an email from Rowena, a current MMJC student. She asked if she could use my business for her content marketing/storytelling project at Western University. Of course, I said yes to the project collaboration request. Mind you, I am an alumna of the MMJC program at Western University (Class of 2021), so I wanted to provide as much support as I could to ensure the feasibility and success of the project.
Brief description of the content marketing/storytelling project from MMJC program: The content marketing/storytelling project is a work-integrated learning project where students of the Advanced Communications course within the MMJC program at Western University can support businesses with some of their communications work.
Rowena worked with me for a few months by creating social media content suitable for my business.
At the end of the project, I sent some questions to Rowena to answer because my business has an educational hub component attached to it, and I want everyone to learn a thing or more from this project. I will also share my insights or takeaways at the end of the Q&As so please read to the end!

First and foremost, it was amazing working with Rowena. She is very creative, talented, respectful and knowledgeable about marketing and communications. She asked me great questions throughout the process of working on this project.
Network and speak to the right people about your business or any project you are working on. When I launched my business, I sent emails to my previous professors at Western University letting them know that I was about to start a marketing, communications and media business. They were very supportive and provided some commendable remarks. Lo and behold, Erin Isings shared my business in her Advanced Communications class, and here we are with this amazing collaboration. Shout out to Erin!! Cheers to more collaborations :)
